Abel Willow

Name of organisation:
Abel Willow
Contact name:
James Roberts
Summary:
Abel Willow designs and builds primarily willow fencing – both in the form of pre-woven hurdle panels and ‘in-situ’ custom built willow fencing runs – all hand-woven from local Somerset willow resources.
Detail:
Panels and runs of fencing can be of any size and various designs within the weave can be produced. Customers include private houses where long perimeter fencing is required; pubs, where pub garden fencing is provided; schools, where outside teaching facilities in the form of willow structures are provided; and willow fencing for the Memorial Garden at the Taunton base of the Royal Marines 40 Commando, for example. Abel Willow is also experienced in developing and installing willow-based river bank erosion control structures, often to meet the requirement for sustainable products to be used in such structures. The skills in willow weaving and design are evidenced by Abel Willow gaining a silver award in the Designer Show Garden category at the Taunton Flower Show in 2010. Other accolades include being a category winner in the Somerset Business Awards 2010. See www.abelwillow.co.uk for more information.
